The UnitWorks — condo renovation specialists

How we renovate Toronto condos

A five-step system built for Toronto condo buildings — so your renovation runs on schedule and you never chase anyone.

01

Walkthrough & estimate

We visit your unit, talk through scope and expectations, and follow up with a clear fixed estimate — no vague ranges, no surprise extras later.

02

Design & materials

Our in-house design service locks the layout, finishes and materials before work begins — one team from drawings to build, so nothing stalls waiting on a decision or a delivery.

03

Building approvals

We prepare the condo board paperwork, insurance certificates and elevator bookings for you. You sign — we handle the rest.

04

Build

One dedicated crew from start to finish. Floors and corridors protected, dust controlled, condo quiet hours respected, and the site left clean every evening.

05

Walkthrough & warranty

Condo renovation questions, answered

The things Toronto condo owners ask us most — before they even book the walkthrough.

Do you handle the condo board approval?

Yes — completely. We prepare the renovation application, provide the certificates of insurance your building requires, and book the elevator and loading dock. You sign the paperwork; we handle everything else with property management.

Can I live in my unit during the renovation?

For kitchens, bathrooms and smaller scopes — usually yes. We seal the work area with dust barriers and leave the site clean every evening. For full renovations we typically recommend staying elsewhere; because our projects run in weeks rather than months, that window stays short and predictable.

How long will my renovation take?

A bathroom typically runs 2–3 weeks, a kitchen 3–5, and a full renovation 6–10 depending on scope and building logistics. You get a locked completion date before work starts — and one dedicated crew until handover.

Is the price really fixed?

Yes. After the walkthrough and design lock you receive a fixed quote in writing. That number only changes if you change the scope — never because of surprises we should have planned for.

How do payments work?

In staged milestones tied to progress — no large deposit up front. The final payment is due only after the walkthrough, when every deficiency on the list has been corrected.

Do you work within building quiet hours?

Always. We schedule noisy work inside your building’s permitted hours, protect corridors and elevators, control dust, and leave the site clean daily — your neighbours and concierge will have nothing to complain about.

Are you insured?

Fully — liability insurance and WSIB coverage, with certificates issued directly to your building or property manager before work begins.

Do you offer design and staging too?

Yes. UnitWorks is a full design + build company — in-house design, materials and board-ready drawings under one contract. If you’re renovating to sell or lease, we can also furnish and stage the finished unit.
