Terms of Use
Last updated September 3, 2026
These terms govern your use of this website, operated by UnitWorks. By browsing the site, submitting the contact form, or using the bathroom estimator, you agree to them. If something here doesn't sit right with you, the simplest course is to reach out directly at hello@theunitworks.com before using the site further.
Use of this site
You may browse and use this site for your own personal or household purpose of researching and requesting a renovation, design or staging service. You agree not to use the site to submit false or misleading information, to attempt to access any part of it you are not authorized to access, or to copy, scrape or republish its content for a competing service.
The estimator is a budget, not a quote
The bathroom estimator produces an indicative all-in estimate: the fixtures and materials you select, priced from supply ranges, plus installation at typical rates for a bathroom of that size and type of home. It does not include HST, structural work, damage or conditions discovered behind walls or floors, or fees charged by your building or the city, and it cannot account for your specific space until we have seen it.
The numbers it shows are estimates, not an offer and not a binding quote. A price becomes binding only once it is put in writing following a walkthrough of your property and signed by both parties. We update the underlying catalogue from time to time; a range you see today is not guaranteed to be available at the same price later.
No professional advice
Content on this site — including the design, build and staging pages, the process pages and the insights articles — is general information about how we work and what a renovation typically involves. It is not architectural, engineering, structural or legal advice, and it does not account for the specific condition of your building or unit, your condo corporation's rules, or municipal permit requirements that apply to you. Always confirm project-specific requirements with us or with a qualified professional before relying on anything you read here.
Intellectual property
The text, photography, video, logos and design of this site belong to UnitWorks or are used under licence, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may view and share pages for personal, non-commercial reference. You may not reproduce, redistribute or use our photography, project imagery or written content commercially without our written permission.
What you submit to us
Anything you send us through the contact form or the estimator — your project details, photos, or messages — is yours, but you give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it: to respond to your enquiry, prepare an estimate, or deliver the service you asked for. We won't publish it publicly without asking you first.
Third-party links
This site links to the websites of fixture and material brands we specify — Kohler, Duravit, Graff, Dornbracht, TOTO, Caesarstone and others — and, elsewhere, to service providers we use to run the site. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability or privacy practices. A link is not an endorsement of everything on the other end of it.
No warranty on the site itself
The website is provided "as is." We take reasonable care to keep it accurate and available, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of the odd typo or outdated price. Renovation photography reflects real projects; layouts, finishes and lighting in any one home will vary.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, UnitWorks is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss arising from your use of this website or reliance on an estimator figure that was not confirmed in writing after a walkthrough. Nothing in this section limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and nothing here affects the separate written terms of any signed renovation contract, which govern the actual project.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable in it, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from your use of this site will be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the site or the business changes. The date at the top reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the current version.
